You have every right to grieve and no-one should take that away from you. If you want to hit somebody, I would recommend some deep breathing and relaxation. Crying over spilt milk doesn't it mop it up. Alternately hitting a punching bag or pillow attached to a roof beam with rope may help relieve some stress.
